When I do a scan with Ewido it detects something called Downloader.Agent.uj. Ewido is not able to quarantine or delete it. Ewido is the only offline scanner that detects this. AVG, Spybot S&D, Ad-Aware and Microsoft AntiSpyware all tell me everything's fine, as does the Panda online scan.

Other supsicious symptoms that, as far as I know, may or may not be connected to what Ewido detects, are:
- Spybot scan duration jumping from about 20 minutes to 8 hours over night.
- Spybot scans terminating with a "aborted by user"-message, when I have done nothing of the sort. I have tried reinstalling Spybot 1.4 from scratch, with no effect.
- Microsoft AntiVirus reporting startup entries for files called dmXXX.exe (where the X's are random letters.) HiJackThis does not find these entries, even if I do not block them with Microsoft AntiSpyware. Even if I block one of them, a new one will have been created the next time I boot my computer. I know that the dm-files are malware related, and I have seen other users' HiJackThis logs that did detect them.

I appreciate that you already have your hands full helping other people like me around here, but I hope you can offer your advice soon.

hi Lars_Domus,

You may want to print out these instructions for reference, since you will have to restart your computer during the fix.

Please download FixWareout by LonnyRJones from one of these sites:
http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lonny/Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts. You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.

Once the desktop loads please post the text that will open (report.txt) and a new Hijackthis log.

I've fixed the items and uplodaded the files. Virustotal did indeed find that the files were nasty. I'm unsure of how you expect me to proceed from here...
