I will be honest in saying I am here to yield info.
I am not from an IT background albeit I have been using computers for many years & I administrate a non IT related forum elsewhere.
Household has a few computers including a netbook with malware infestation. I have given up after trying to run various tools without success & need help.
I will post in the appropriate section.
More recently I have added a couple of Macs to the household not least because I have lost faith in MS OS's as there is just so much horrible stuff out there ready to attack folk online.
Very impressed with the extent of knowedge on here & my prescence alone means I am on a steep learning curve.
Sincere thanks in advance to all who help here - I do my best to help others elsewhere in areas I am knowledgable so you may be reassured to know I am not just another of lifes freeloaders.
