View Full Version : CPU Spikes

MegaMasterX
2006-07-29, 04:01
Lately, ever since i've been programming an application to use ports, I've been getting many CPU Usage Spikes. I'm running an AMD Athlon XP 3000+ with 1 GB of memory. I cant do anything without extreme lag and CPU spikes that go from 23 to 100% CPU Usage and my memory has been about 99% (DANGER LEVEL). I have a G-Series keyboard that gives me up to date info on an LCD screen, btw.

I would like someone to analyze my HiJackThis log. i've highlighted in bold items that sound fishy to me.

Hello and welcome to the forum. If you still need help and are not receiving it elsewhere. This looks like the Smitfraud trojan.

1) Move HJT to C:\HJT\HijackThis.exe. If you need more instructions, use these:
http://russelltexas.com/malware/createhjtfolder.htm
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial94.html

2) Follow the instruction in this link:
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=4015

Post the three logs at the end of the instructions in this same topic. I will be notified and repsond as soon as possible after that to see if there is more to do.

Thanks...pskelley
