View Full Version : Vista infection

My laptop has an infection, the first one that spybot can't get rid of :(
symptoms include slow processor speed, redirection to suspicious pages when clicking on a link to a known site off google and also interestingly my aero theme has reverted to 'classic' and it won't let me change it back, the svchost.exe responsible for the themes was running at 300-400,000K which is a bit of a joke. Not sure if the theme thing was related but occurred at the same time.

The threat spybot can't shake off is Click.Giftload it suggests that it may still in memory and asks to run when I next restart, I say yes, restart and run another scan, same thing happens.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, this is the first infection I haven't been able to manually get rid of so am worried!
