slow start-up, virtumundo, winAntivirusPro

Hi, like many of the posters, I also have a problem with Virtumundo, and Wintanti...I don't know how many times I have cleaned them. Im using AVG, Spybot and Adaware, but they still keep showing up in the scans. I'm also using Zone Alarm for my firewall.

My computer is also taking a long time to boot up. I dont know why this is happening. I have look up some of the files in the start-up using msconfig and I found out that these files are threates to my computer ( I dont personally know if its true).

Hi erickjohn

Your running Hijackthis from a temp and/Or it still hasnt been unzipped, neither is a good idea.
Create a new folder, for instance C:\AntiSpyware
Download the exe from here to that new folder.
http://www.merijn.org/files/HijackThis.exe
This is necessary to ensure you have backups should anything go wrong
Also since you mention virtumundo right click on
C:\AntiSpyware\hijackthis.exe choose rename in the context menue and rename it to hjt.exe now run it and save then post a log
