I've been having freezing, not responding with a little white folder on top left corner of active toolbar, and constant virtual memory errors issues with my comp. Freezing while online and offline...infected??? Thank you so much for your time.

Hi,

How old system is this?

Let's see how much RAM you have on your system there:
click start->all programs->accessories->system tools. This will open the System Information window. Scroll down toward the bottom of the window. The amount of RAM is indicated at the bottom of the listed information.

Let me know how much it is.

That's way too little for Windows XP. Minimum recommended amount is 512MB. Symptoms you see are likely caused by this low memory.
