View Full Version : please help me remove trojans, popups
Hello,
Could you please help me remove the trojans and popups in my computer. I've tried spybot, ad-aware, webroot. But I can't get rid of them. I found trojan-downloader-conhook, winlogon trojan, maxifiles. I also got WinAntiVirusPro popups. Thanks for your help.

scan with HJT, put a checkmark beside the items below, close all windows and click fix checked.

next manually look for and delete those two .dll files (sxr.dll and djcbrjoc.dll) both in the C:\WINDOWS\system32 dir.
reboot once and rescan with spybot, ad aware.

Thanks for your help. I've deleted the two items. But I couldn't find the .dll in the windows directory. The malware are still there.

Thanks for your help. I've deleted the two items. But I couldn't find the .dll in the windows directory. The malware are still there. There are several suspecious processes running on my computer, they are ishost.exe, issearch.exe, isnotify.exe, and ismon.exe. I couldn't kill them in the task manager.

Please download Look2Me-Destroyer.exe (http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=7) to your desktop.
Close all windows before continuing.
Double-click Look2Me-Destroyer.exe to run it.
Put a check next to Run this program as a task.
You will receive a message saying Look2Me-Destroyer will close and re-open in approximately 10 seconds. Click OK
When Look2Me-Destroyer re-opens, click the Scan for L2M button, your desktop icons will disappear, this is normal.
Once it's done scanning, click the Remove L2M button.
You will receive a Done Scanning message, click OK.
When completed, you will receive this message: Done removing infected files! Look2Me-Destroyer will now shutdown your computer, click OK.
Your computer will then shutdown.
Turn your computer back on.
Please post the contents of C:\Look2Me-Destroyer.txt and a new HiJackThis log.

these insructions may be for the older 3.5 version, but should make sense when you run ewido:
Download ewido anti-spyware. a 30 day trial version. Install, update and run it:
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/
download, install, click on update now
Ewido will download/install the latest def. file
Next:
--> Click on scanner.
-->Run a full system scan
-->ewido will scan.
-->While the scan is in progress you will be prompted to clean files, click OK.
Select Perform action on all infections
-->Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report.
-->Click Save report.
Save the report to your desktop.
please post the saved ewido report in your next reply, you can edit it out the cookies if you want.

The WinAntiVirusPro popups are gone. My system seems OK now. But sometimes I still find iexplorer.exe running in the task manager although I never open it. My Windows Explorer.exe seems to be corrupted. When I click "My Computer", my desktop restarts and the file explorer window doesn't show up.
