IE Won't Stay Open

When I start IE, it opens for about 5 secs (never displaying a page) and then closes. I have seen stuff on my computer called win101.temp.exe and df403b89.exe

I can use Firefox with no problems. When I go to my C:\Program Files\Common Files sometimes IE will open with a window to some advertisement and then I can use IE to surf the web. Please help me out. Here is my HJT log, and I coudln't run the on-line virus scan, as they don't supprot FireFox for some strange reason.
