Hello!

I am writing about a potential virus I seem to have managed to attract to my other computer (obviously not the one used to type this).

It seems that I may be able to eradicate it manually since I know what it is and what it seems to have done. The problem: I know what I can do, but am too afraid to do it, not wanting to destroy the computer myself.

Symptoms: disabled desktop (I know it is only disabled thanks to Spybot's logs telling me that "I" was the one that "allowed" it).
Disabled task manager: see previous explanation.
Alleged hard drive failure and RAM overuse

Virus/malware name: VcuVoQGfcSxd

I tried running Spybot, but it won't. Keeps locking up apparently. I can get a lot of other things to run though, but once a certain error pops up, the computer resets.

Would appreciate some tips on editing the system startup user entry to re-allow task manager and my desktop. It's a problem that I can only see black. Also, would it be advisable to tweak with my startup and disallow the offending malware from running at startup? It is listed there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
