View Full Version : Random system freeze

Please can you help with a system bug I cannot clear ?

Dell Vostro 200 desktop. Vista business

I have regular & random system freeezes, usually when watching video or transferring photographs from camera to PC via USB.

Strangely I cannot run spybot software as this causes a freeze or reboot very early in the process. Spybot scan was successfully completed in safe mode with no threats found. I had run other software in boot scan & this detected a Win32:dialer - relevant files which iwas told were infected were deleted but symptoms remain.
regards, Martin

Hi,

You seem to have both AVG and Avast installed there. It's advisable to have one antivirus program in use only. Decide which one to keep and uninstall the other. Post fresh dds logs when done.
