I load Spybot and it works great for a while. As I travel, though, I often connect my small laptop to larger monitors because I have some eye problems, and it is difficult to see the small display on my laptop. I mention this because it may be a factor. I have had this problem repeatedly.
After a few weeks, when I boot up Spybot, I get the start-up progress bar, but the visual menu does not appear on screen. I can minimize it, and see a small view of the main screen as I slide the mouse over the minimized icon, but when I try to restore the application, apparently it displays somewhere off-screen, where I cannot see it. I do not know how to find it to return it to the main screen (or even to a monitor that I have connected to my laptop), except to remove Spybot and then reload the application from scratch. If I remove the monitor, the Spybot menu still does not appear on screen. I have tried rebooting with and without an aux monitor with no luck.
This has happened to me about 5-6 times, and the reload of the software from scratch is, of course, very time consuming. Can anyone tell me how to resolve this issue? Thanks in advance for any help.
