Hi all,

We have a very stubborn piece of malware on our home-and-kitchen computer (win32.fraudload.edt). Spybot detects it, offers to delete it (what we of course do), but after a next scan, it reappears.
Below the result of DDR.SCR, and more below an excerpt from Spybot's log file. Attachted is the 'attach' file from DDR.SCR
Thanks for any help.

... after I:

Started Windows in 'Safe mode with Command prompt'
Deleted the 'wininit.ini' file from the Windows directory.
Restarted Windows in 'Safe mode'
Ran Spybot S&D and then MalwareBytes (no malware detected)
Restarted Windows normally
Ran Spybot S&D (no malware detected)

This worked for me because Spybot indicated that the malware was 'hiding' in 'wininit.ini'. Some research on the web learned that this file is typically a malware hiding dungeon. Its content looked very suspicious to me as well.

I presume the usual problem solving people on this forum have exams now (June...), so I fully understand why I had no reaction on my first post. I expect no further action from the forum. Thanks.
