Mozilla Firefox url search bar hijacked by esnips! Help!!!

Hello experts,
I need your help regarding certain problem in my Firefox browser.
Yesterday, I had to download the esnips downloader for downloading a file from esnips.com
But this downloader has created problems like:
1. Changing default search engine.
2. Changed the default url search from google (i'm feeling lucky) to esnips search.
Nothing changed on reinstalling Firefox.
I tied various fixes by searching the web. I tried to change keyword.url setting in about:config and then deleted a few lines from the prefs.js file in the Firefox profile directory.
It worked only once. But, next time I restarted firefox, esnips search was still set as default. I have even uninstalled esnips downloader, still the problem is persisting.

I had earlier faced similar problem with the speedbit toolbar. Fortunately, I could restore the settings (Although I see traces of speedbit toolbar in the about:config e.g: the name "Conduit.com" keeps cropping up indicating it was put there by speedbit toolbar). But this esnips seems to be a tough nut to crack.

I want to solve this problem without disturbing my personal dat.

Sorry for delayed response. Forums have been really busy. If you still need help with this do following, please.


Download DDS and save it to your desktop from here (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/dds.com) or here (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/dds.scr) or here (http://www.forospyware.com/sUBs/dds).
Disable any script blocker, and then double click dds file to run the tool.
When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
DDS.txt
Attach.txt

Save both reports to your desktop. Post them back to your topic.
