Hello I have been reading all of the threads and I am pretty sure I still have Vundo somewhere on my computer. I have run tons of antivirus programs but none have seemed to do the trick. Here is my HJT log

Any help would be appreciated. I have been trying to get rid of this problem for a while but haven't been able to do so. The popups have stopped coming up but now my internet connection seems messed up. It won't work 1/2 the time. Thank you guys very much for your time. :(

Welcome to the forum, you seem to have killed the vundo trojan, but you have other junk. I do not know how it is effecting your internet connection, all we can to is remove the trash and see what happens.

I need to comment first that your Java program is badly out of date and probably the reason for the Vundo trojan in the first place, see this information:

SpySweeper and ewido with realtime protection can block the changes we must make. Turn them both off until you finish. If you do not own these products, you should not have them running, no benefits and hugh resource wasters.

1) How to make files and folders visible:
Click Start > Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm.
Click OK.

2) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/public-beta/ATF-Cleaner.exe
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

3) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

4) RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:

ShowWnd.exe <<< delete that file (this is a trojan and HJT may have removed it, search for it and do not miss it if it is there)

5) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Restart the computer and post a new HJT log along with any comments you think will help.

Once that log is posted, turn ewido back on and update it. Then run a complete system scan and post the scan results as soon as you have them.

Thank you very much for the response pskelley. I have to work a long day today but I'll do that either first thing tonight or tomorrow morning. My internet provider said there have actually been a lot of people having connection problems recently and that they are working on it so hopefully that is the only reason why I have had problems connecting.
