Hi all! Got a question.
I have the REGISTERED, pay-for version of Fraps. (bought it a few years ago, figured 15 bucks or so was worth not dealing with that logo...). I haven't needed the program in years, but I went to install the latest version today and when i did, Spybot popped up warning me about "Ad Rotator".
I did a web-search that didn't turn up much. AVG didn't detect anything. Even spybot's shell scan didn't detect anything when i scanned the installer. Could this be a false positive, or have the FRAPS people decided they'll take people's money AND blast them with ads?
I was going to shoot an e-mail to the Fraps people, but I decided I should ask here first. Does Fraps really have adware on it? Can i safely instal this? What's the worst thing that this ad program can do?
