The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "Fraud.XPTotalSecurity" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
Fraud.XPTotalSecurity claims to be an antispyware solution. When it is installed on the computer it shows a lot of harmless cookies, browser helper objects and autorun entries as high risk spyware problems installed by itself. When the user wants to fix these false positives he has to purchase a license.
Removal Instructions:

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

Remove ""<$ENV(FraudXPTotalSecurity1)>" -a " from registry value "" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\StartMenuInternet\FIREFOX.EXE\shell\open\command\".
Remove ""<$ENV(FraudXPTotalSecurity1)>" -a " from registry value "" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\StartMenuInternet\FIREFOX.EXE\shell\safemode\command\".
Remove ""<$ENV(FraudXPTotalSecurity1)>" -a " from registry value "" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\StartMenuInternet\IEXPLORE.EXE\shell\open\command\".
