I just installed Spybot and I'm having a nuisance problem opening PDF files in certain circumstances.

I use Gmail in an IE web browser for email. There is a PDF file online and I sent a link to the file to someone else.

Looking back at my sent mail, from this link I can save the file to my desktop and open the file with Adobe Reader. Good.

If I right click on the link in the email, and pick "Open", it also opens just fine. Great.

But if I just simply click on the link in the email, it opens a new window with "about:blank" in the address bar..... Not so great.

Any help? Like I said this seems to be a minor nuisance and the work around is easy but I hope I can learn something useful.

My config:
IE 9.0
Spybot S&D 1.6.2
Windows Vista Home Premium

That wouldn't be caused by Spybot, that I know of. :)
The new "About:Blank" window is a blank page?
If so,this document has a couple things to try:
