Hi,

No wonder the system is slow. You seem to have little RAM installed there while still running resource consuming Norton there. You should install more RAM there. 512 MB is recommended minimum amount for Windows XP.

Hi,

Will the computer run smoother if I uninstall Norton? Also, how much ram does the computer have?

Hi,

System appears to have 256MB installed. Uninstalling Norton should free some resources.

As a sidenote, system has some unpatched vulnerabilities there. It's recommended to download and run Secunia Personal Software Inspector (PSI) (http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal/) and fix its findings. Leave the program installed so you'll stay alarmed about vulnerable components in future too.
