hi. :)
i wasn't sure where to post about my issue so to keep it safe i'm just posting here. if i have the wrong section let me know please :red:

well. recently my web browsers on my laptop have stopped working. for example if i try to go to a site it sends me to an error page stating:

"Google Chrome could not load the webpage because www.google.com took too long to respond. The website may be down, or you may be experiencing issues with your Internet connection."

they give me an option that might be causing the problem but it doesn't seem to work. it's also happened to my firefox browser. only browser i can use is my internet explorer

i would really appreciate any help. thanks for taking the time to read. :)

Hello dmont,

A few details that might help in narrowing the cause of the issue. :)

What is the operating system.
Which security software is installed.
Are you using a firewall and/or router, if so please name.

Best regards,

In your previous topic the operating system was Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium. :)

Did you renew the Defender Pro license, or did it remain expired? http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.php?p=409809&postcount=13

Best regards.

something about changing a proxy setting. but it's all unchecked.
i've kind of figured out the problem.
i uninstalled the defender pro to check if that was the root of the problem and it was. so i've reinstalled it. just got to figure out how to let google and firefox work?
