I installed Spybot after stupidly clicking a Spear Phishing link in an e-mail (I should know better). Neither Spybot nor McAfee can find any viruses or trojans. Spybot cleaned up some adware when I ran it.
However when I boot my system I get a Spybot message box that refers to SMRequiresRestart. A Google search on this reveals nothing that is very helpful.
If I Deny the change the message simply reappears immediately.
I'm running Windows 7.
