Welcome to the forum, you have a severely infected machine, Magic Control.agent is usually a rootkit infection and is probably only a minor part of the infection. I want to show you what you are up against, you need to read all of the information under all tabs.
http://www.sophos.com/security/analyses/w32agobotnv.html
http://www.sophos.com/virusinfo/analyses/w32rbotx.html
http://www.sophos.com/virusinfo/analyses/w32rbotmu.html
With this level of infection you may want to consider a reformat? Once we remove this junk we will still have the rootkit to deal with.

I strongly suggest you keep this computer offline as much as possible until you resolve this issue. I am checking to find out what methods I will need to use during removal if you decide to go that route. I will wait to see what you decide.

Thanks...pskelley

Download SDFix (http://downloads.andymanchesta.com/RemovalTools/SDFix.zip) and save it to your desktop.

Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
Restart your computer
After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
Choose your usual account.

In Safe Mode, right click the SDFix.zip folder and choose Extract All,
Open the extracted folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
Type Y to begin the script.
It will remove the Trojan Services then make some repairs to the registry and prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
Your system will take longer that normal to restart as the fixtool will be running and removing files.
When the desktop loads the Fixtool will complete the removal and display Finished, then press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
Finally open the SDFix folder on your desktop and copy and paste the contents of the results file Report.txt back onto the forum with a new HijackThis log

Thanks

Sounds like this stuff could have spread to my other computer via the network from what i was reading. I've run a virus check using AVG and turned up nothing.Should i run hijack this aswell just to be sure?

Please take the time to read the instructions carefully. My last instruction was to post a new HJT log. I can not tell what we have done without that log.

My gut feeling is that this computer should be isolated from any others on the network. Once this computer is clean of malware, you may start a new topic for each computer and post a HJT log if you wish.

Thanks...Phil

That's ok and I do understand. I have three computers and I would go crazy if one of them got sick. That tool by AndyManchesta did a great job, looks like the majority of the trojans are gone. Let's clean up the last of the junk and then we will take a look to see if it got rid of the rootkit that causes Magic Control.

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/public-beta/ATF-Cleaner.exe
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Restart your computer and let me know how it is running now.

Download BlackLight from here: https://europe.f-secure.com/blacklight/try.shtml

Use this tutorial and complete only the scan, then post the scan results and a new HJT log.

Ok Phil after i did the cleanup with Atf the computer froze up after reboot when i tried to use the start menu but then it seemed to sort itself out n is running a little faster.
Thanks for that feedback, once we get this junk out of your computer it will run like it should. You can see the hidden items in the BlackLight report, that is the hidden rootkit.
I want you to wait until until have a time when you will not be interrupted, read the instructions carefully in this link:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial124.html
Follow those instructions and then post a new HJT log, we should be able to see the file causing the problem then.
Be very careful to rename only the bad (hidden) junk.

You HJT log is still showing clean at this point.

Thanks

Thanks for returning your information, we have that bugger out there where we can see it now thanks to BlackLight. Let's do this:

1) Make sure all hidden files and folder are still enabled.

2) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [iyclgdw] c:\windows\system32\iyclgdw.exe iyclgdw
rootkit trojan
O20 - Winlogon Notify: WRNotifier - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\WRLogonNTF.dll
old SpySweeper line

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:

c:\windows\system32\iyclgdw.exe <<< delete that file (may be gone, but be sure)

Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Here is a tutorial to help you use ATF-Cleaner from Atribune:
http://forums.security-central.us/showthread.php?t=1925

I notice you are running an out of date version of ewido? If you don't own it there is no reason to waste the resources to run it everytime you boot when you get no benefit from the realtime security.

Post a last HJT log and let me know how things are running now. I will have some valuable information for you and get you on your way.

Thanks...Phil

Thanks for returning the information, that HJT log appears clean of malware. Good job using BlackLight and the thanks goes to them, we could not see the rootkit without that tool.

Just to check, I see SpySweeper and it is a fine program. I just want to make sure you own it, if not it would be just wasting your resources if it was left from a trial and my suggestion would be to uninstall it.

Here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=279

http://cybercoyote.org/security/not-admin.shtml

System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:

Safe surfing...tashi:) will close the topic in a day or so.
