The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "Win32.ClickPotatoLite" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
Win32.ClickPotatoLite installs several malicious files to directories named "ClickPotato", "QueryExplorer" and "ClickPotatoLiteSA". Win32.ClickPotatoLite is illegally bundled with video-lan-client (vlc) and gets started via an autorun it creates during installation process. Win32.ClickPotatoLite also claims to own other free GPL software like GIMP.
Removal Instructions:

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd), RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

Entries named "ClickPotatoLiteSA" and pointing to "<regexpr>.<$LOCALAPPDATA>\\ClickPotatoLiteSA\\bin\\([.0-9] )\\ClickPotatoLiteSA\.exe.".

Installed Software List:

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) or RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) to locate and get rid of these entries.

Products that have a key or property named "ClickPotatoLiteSA".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$LOCALAPPDATA>\ClickPotatoLiteSA\bin\<$ENV(ClickPotato_Folder)>\firefox\extensions\install.rdf".
The file at "<$LOCALAPPDATA>\ClickPotatoLiteSA\bin\<$ENV(ClickPotato_Folder)>\firefox\extensions\plugins\npclntax_ClickPotatoLiteSA.dll".
The file at "<$LOCALAPPDATA>\ClickPotatoLiteSA\data\ClickPotatoLiteSA.dat".
The file at "<$LOCALAPPDATA>\ClickPotatoLiteSA\data\ClickPotatoLiteSA_kyf.dat".
The file at "<$LOCALAPPDATA>\ClickPotatoLiteSA\data\ClickPotatoLiteSAau.dat".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Mozilla Firefox\plugins\npclntax_ClickPotatoLiteSA.dll".
The file at "<$PROGRAMS>\ClickPotato\About Us.lnk".
The file at "<$PROGRAMS>\ClickPotato\ClickPotato Customer Support.lnk".
The file at "<$PROGRAMS>\ClickPotato\ClickPotato Uninstall Instructions.lnk".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Win32.ClickPotatoLite uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.

Folders:

The directory at "<$PROGRAMS>\ClickPotato".

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "MenuButtonIE.ButtonIE.1", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "MenuButtonIE.ButtonIE", plus associated values.
Delete the registry key "{419EDA30-6DFF-432C-B534-E15D899ABEE4}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{7A3D6D17-9DD5-4C60-8076-D1784DABAF8C}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{7A3D6D17-9DD5-4C60-8076-D1784DABAF8C}" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{814BAA91-DC22-4350-87D6-0C86E93F7F08}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "{814BAA91-DC22-4350-87D6-0C86E93F7F08}" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "{D2083641-E57F-4eab-BB85-0582424F4A29}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\".
Delete the registry key "{D2083641-E57F-4eab-BB85-0582424F4A29}" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\AppID\".
Delete the registry key "ClickPotatoLiteSA" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
Delete the registry key "MenuButtonIE.ButtonIE.1" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\".
Delete the registry key "MenuButtonIE.ButtonIE" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\".
Delete the registry key "MenuButtonIE.DLL" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\".
Delete the registry key "MenuButtonIE.DLL" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\AppID\".
Delete the registry value "ClickPotatoLite@ClickPotatoLite.com" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mozilla\Firefox\Extensions\".
If Win32.ClickPotatoLite uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
