Can anyone help me. Even after I run all spybot, killme and antivirus, when I reboot I get the kill2me infecting another file different from the one found on the prior boot. It's attacking a guard.tmp file and alsp the registry. When I reboot and open internet explorer somethign gets corrupted or reintroduced and i end up having 10-15 IE explorers load.

Thanks.

Adam

Welcome to the forum. Adam, you do indeed have a Look2me infection and we must remove it first, but that is far from all you are infected with. I see what could be a Qoologic trojan, it looks like an Alcan worm infection and there are multiple trojans I can't even identify. If you still need help and are not receiving it elsewhere, I need to suggest that this junk attracts other junk and you need to keep this computer offline as much as possible until you are clean. If this works for you, then we will start like this:

Thanks to Atribune and any others who helped with this fix.

Please download Look2Me-Destroyer.exe (http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=7) to your desktop.
Close all windows before continuing.
Double-click Look2Me-Destroyer.exe to run it.
Put a check next to Run this program as a task.
You will receive a message saying Look2Me-Destroyer will close and re-open in approximately 10 seconds. Click OK
When Look2Me-Destroyer re-opens, click the Scan for L2M button, your desktop icons will disappear, this is normal.
Once it's done scanning, click the Remove L2M button.
You will receive a Done Scanning message, click OK.
When completed, you will receive this message: Done removing infected files! Look2Me-Destroyer will now shutdown your computer, click OK.
Your computer will then shutdown.
Turn your computer back on.
Please post the contents of C:\Look2Me-Destroyer.txt and a new HiJackThis log.
If Look2Me-Destroyer does not reopen automatically, reboot and try again.

If you receive a message from your firewall about this program accessing the internet please allow it.

If you receive a runtime error '339' please download MSWINSCK.OCX from the link below and place it in your C:\Windows\System32 Directory.
http://www.ascentive.com/support/new/images/lib/MSWINSCK.OCX

More info:

If for some reason Look2Me-Destroyer doesn't reopen check that task scheduler is running.
If it isnt you can use sc.exe to start it

start>run sc start schedule press enter.

Post the two bolded logs above, add any comments you think will help. I will respond with the next instructions as soon as possible after that.

Thanks...pskelley

Here are the two logs. I did download Ewido and that took care of a bunch of things like that OOLogic virus as well as others. I have also updated Trend Micro PC-Cillin files and contract. Thank you so much for your help. Here is what is left.

Thanks for returning your information, I can see a lot of the junk is gone, probably ewido. I still see a marker for Qoologic:
F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe, C:\WINDOWS\system32\tlvau.exe

First I will show you this item: O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ZTgServerSwitch] c:\program files\support.com\client\lserver\server.vbs
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups/server.vbs-7085.html
You can do as you wish with that item.

We will do a run through with HJT and see what is left. Let's do this:

How to make files and folders visible:
Click Start > Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm.
Click OK.

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/public-beta/ATF-Cleaner.exe
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

We need to disable your Windows Defender Real-time Protection as it may interfere with the fixes that we need to make.
Open Windows Defender, Click on Tools, General Settings.
Scroll down and uncheck Turn on real-time protection (recommended).
After you uncheck this, click on the Save button and close Windows Defender.
After all of the fixes are complete it is very important that you enable Real-time Protection again.

Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe, C:\WINDOWS\system32\tlvau.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KernelFaultCheck] %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [test] C:\WINDOWS\system32\test.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [CAS2] "C:\Program Files\System Files\System.exe"

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\test.exe <<< file

C:\WINDOWS\system32\tlvau.exe <<< file

C:\Program Files\System Files\System.exe <<<file this one is tricky. I have no System Files in my Program Files so it is likely the folder needs to go. For sure the file is bad. Take a hard look at it and see what you think.
If you have any doubt the folder and all in it are bad, then we will investigate the contents more before we delete the folder, but do delete the file.

Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Restart the computer and post a new HJT log, along with your comments.

Thanks

You are looking good and I would say good to go:bigthumb: For some reason Java did not update all of the way?
C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_06\ >>> should be jre1.5.0_07\
Check it out, to be sure, some nasty stuff has been getting in that way:
http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp

Here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=279

ewido is a great program but it does use some resources. Once the trial is over you can update and use the scanner for as long as you wish, but unless you purchase it you should turn it off completely so it does not run unless you start it manually.

System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:

Safe surfing...tashi:) will close your topic in a day or so.
