Hi,
My Avira anti-virus program told me I had crypt.xpack.gen2 malware and EXP/Pdfka.QC.

I ran ERUNT and attached the DD notes.

I saw a few post with the crypt.xpack.gen2 malware, but didn't see one answer to fix it. So I hope you can help me.

Thank you.

Hi,

Does it show you what file/item was detected as that infection?

Download aswMBR (http://public.avast.com/~gmerek/aswMBR.exe) to your desktop. Double click the aswMBR.exe to run it
Click the Scan button to start scan

On completion of the scan click save log, save it to your desktop and post in your next reply. Post fresh dds logs too.

Did I do it right?

Hi,

Did you click Scan and let it finish before saving the log? Log indicates that aswMBR was only opened.

PinaYade
2012-01-18, 10:49
Sorry, such a noob action. Now I did the scan.

I let Avira run another scan too and it didn't find the malware I mentioned earlier. Could that be because it put it in quarantine? I can't find it because every time I open Avira it feezes and crashes

Hi again,

Please visit this webpage for download links, and instructions for running ComboFix tool:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix

Remember to re-enable them afterwards.

Click Yes to allow ComboFix to continue scanning for malware.

When the tool is finished, it will produce a report for you.

Please include the following reports for further review, and so we may continue cleansing the system:
