Hiya guys,
I have an annoying adware infection. Popups are constantly coming up while I'm on the PC, even if I'm not on the internet.
After leaving the popup open for about 10 seconds, the name of it in my taskbar changed from Microsoft Internet Explorer to ad.firstadsolution.com or c5.zedo.com or something like that. Spybot detects it, but after I remove the infection and late do a rescan, it comes back.
I don't have HJT so I can't post a HJT log, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely, araknidkid.
Hello.
But you can download HJT, here is how and where to post it:
Please follow the instructions in this sticky topic:
BEFORE you post and who will advise you. Preliminary Steps (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288)
Then start your own thread here:
Malware Removal Forum (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22)
A helper will advise you as soon as available.
Cheers. :)

I'm having issues with adware. Popups keep popping up no matter what I'm doing on the PC, even if im not online. On the taskbar, they appear as firstadsolution or c5.zedo and scans have identified and removed them, but the popups keep coming back and the scans keep finding them, so it must be coming back.
Here's my HJT log:

Alright, I made a topic where you linked me to, please help me out! n___n
Hello.
It doesn't look like the instructions for posting a log were followed or the log would not show this:
C:\DOCUME~1\Kristen\LOCALS~1\Temp\Rar$EX00.127\HijackThis.exe
Also where is the result of the on-line anti-virus scan?
Not following instructions delays assistance however as I stated above:
A helper will advise you as soon as available.
Regards. :)

Welcome
C:\DOCUME~1\Kristen\LOCALS~1\Temp\Rar$EX00.127\HijackThis.exe
Your running Hijackthis from a temp and/Or it still hasnt been unzipped, neither is a good idea.
Create a new folder, for instance C:\AntiSpyware
Download the exe from here to that new folder.
http://www.merijn.org/files/HijackThis.exe
This is necessary to ensure you have backups should anything go wrong
Make and post a new log
