Google search redirect virus/spyware

Hello Everyone,

On 3/7/2012 I was hit with the spyware or virus that is redirecting my google searches to other websites. I was using an non-admin account on my computer and I do recall two exe files asking for permission to be updated or installed. One was 'File.exe' by the microsoft corp and the other one I do not remember.

Can someone please assist me in removing this annoying threat? I am scared to order things online or even log in to websites with my personal information until this is fixed.

Please see the Malware Removal Forum sticky which includes instructions in post #2 on how to provide the preliminary "DDS" logs which are used for analysis.

Then start a new topic providing those logs and a volunteer analyst will advise you when available.
