How do I keep Smitfraud away?

I could not remove Smitfraud with Spybot or P C Tools and out of desperation I reformatted my hard drive. Blew it back to factory config. I had Spybot run clean every day for about a week and then today it was back.

I'm happy to go through all the steps to clean my machine this time but can I prevent it from coming back? I only visit a handful of sites on a daily basis and can't figure where this is coming from.

In order for someone to advise please see the forum sticky which includes guidelines and instructions in post #2 on how to provide preliminary "DDS" logs used for analysis. :)

Then start a new topic providing the logs as shown in that FAQ and a volunteer analyst will assist you when available.
