Hiya,
Midway through today I discovered every time I tried to access a web site I was redirected to some variation of urlseek.vmn.net and told the site could not be found. Obviously that wasn't right.
I discovered several pieces of software by Visicom Media installed. I uninstalled them all and restarted my PC. The problem remained.
Based on a recommendation on another forum I installed and ran ComboFix. After re-starting I no longer see urlseek but my internet connection fails to do anything - not even ping a common URL like google.com. I'm currently using a laptop on the same network without issue.
I then used Spybot which found a registry key for Complitly and removed it. Again, restarting made no difference although the registry key has gone. I just have no connection now.
I followed the instructions for manually re-enabling the connection to no avail.
I have now backed up the registry using ERUNT and can provide the logs if required.
Appreciate any help you can give.
Thanks,
Phil
