Who Knew

Hi
Win 7 64 bit, spybot 1.6.2, Adobe Reader 10.1.3, no shortage of ram or disk space.
Whenever I open a PDF, Adobe reader launches and displays the file and works as normal for about 4-8 seconds. Then, Adobe Reader freezes for about 20-60 seconds, then starts working again. If I shut down TeaTimer.exe, then I don't have this problem.
What's TeaTimer doing while it has Adobe Reader in irons? Is it checking Adobe Reader? Is it checking the PDF file that Adobe Reader is displaying? Both? How can I speed this up? I don't mind a couple second's delay, but the way it is right now, I'd rather have TeaTimer just ignore Adobe Reader, or ignore PDF files, or both.
Thanks!
