im trying for first time bc adaware 9 is going out soon i dont want 10 it wants my norton out and adaware seems hard on resources anyway...
1 is SB lighter on sys resources adaware seems really bog down on my computer taking hour in full mode is sb easier on system?

2 when i start computer w sb it nags me that registry has changed and shows AVG and ADAWARE which isnt on system anymore or in registry i say ALLOW but why it nagging me?

3 i noticed updates seem different than adaware or malware you dont do it 5x a day when are update definitions released?

Hello,

1. There should not be much difference in the recources.

2. Please read this information about TeaTimer:
FAQ 33 (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/faq/33.html) and FAQ 34 (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/faq/34.html)
If you surf the web and without any user interaction the TeaTimer pops up and warns about a registry change it is better to "deny",
but if you install something by yourself it is OK to "allow" the change.
The tutorial (point 8) (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/tutorial/index.html) on our homepage should also help explaining.

If you have scanned and fixed items with Spybot you have to allow the registry change that the Resident TeaTimer is asking for.
Only then the items will be deleted completely.

If you do not like the resident TeaTimer you can disable it as follows:
- Go into Spybot - Mode - Advanced Mode - Tools - Resident.
- Uncheck the following: Resident "TeaTimer" (Protection of over-all system settings) Active.

3. We have weekly updates, usually coming out on Wednesdays.

Best regards
Sandra

this depends on different options, such as CPU, RAM and Setup of the different Products.
However its not recommendet to use more as one AV.
