Spybot FileScan

Hi there,

Spybot keeps trying to scan files on my PC and I have no idea what's going on - it throws up a message saying it's scanning. This would be ok, except it happens every single second. It's really disruptive, so I'm just wondering whether anyone else has had problems with any viruses masquerading as Spybot?

Is that happening when you double click to open files,folders,etc.?Or is it happening on it's own?
Which version of Spybot do you have?
And what operating system do you have?
