RC2 can not uninstall nor update!

I run RC2.0.3 and suddenly the programm would not start on start-up (DLLs missing). I tried to uninstall through Win7 on-board tools and IObit but it fails.

I then tried to install update 2.0.10 and it fails with the same error message!

Runtime error (at -1:0):
Cannot import dll:C\Program Files\Spybot Search & Destroy 2\UninsServ.dll

What to do?

PS: I have a feeling S&D2 killed itself while cleaning up. :oops:

The uninstall problem was a bug in one of the first Betas.
We were able to reproduce the problem and have fixed it. :)

We have already released a new Spybot-S&D 2.0. RC 2 (http://www.safer-networking.org/2012/second-release-candidate-of-spybot-search-destroy-2-0-available/ ).

I would recommend to uninstall the first 2.0 Beta in safe mode (http://www.computerhope.com/issues/chsafe.htm)
or
install the new Spybot-S&D 2.0. RC 2 over it.

I tried installing RC2 over the existing version but when prompted to uninstall the previous version even your own installer fails!

I will try safe mode uninstall and report back.
