Hello,

I'm running Windows 7 and trying to useSpybot S+D to try to remove the "Babylon.Toolbar" from Internet Explorer, but whenever I try to fix the problem it comes up with:

"Some problems couldn't be fixed; the reason could be that the associated files are still in use (in memory). This could be fixed after a restart. May Spybot-S&D run on your next system startup?"

I have restarted but to no avail. I've also used the control panel to uninstall the toolbar but its traces still remain. I've also used Windows Explorer to delete as much of it as I could find, but whenever I try to delete the "BabylonToolbar#" zip files that seem to be the root of the problem, the following error comes up:

"Could not find this item
This is no longer locatedin C:\ProgramData\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Recovery. Verify the item's location and try again."

Is there something I'm misssing? How do I get rid of this thing?

Thanks,
Kimbery Farms

Hello kimberlyfarms,

The FAQ for this forum: http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288 (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22)

Questions regarding Spybot-S&D support can be asked here: Spybot-S&D Forums (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=4)

However there are several threads about the Babylon.Toolbar being difficult to remove.

If you would like someone to take a look at the system please follow instructions in post #2 of the FAQ to produce the DDS/aswMBR logs used for analysis, start a new topic here in the malware removal forum and someone will advise when available. :)

Best regards.
