Hi ,
I'm hoping someone can help me out. Ive got a yellow triangle that pops up in my system tray with a bubble that says:

"Security Alert
System encountered spyware that collects your personal info without your consent. this info includes passwords, credit card details and other private data. click the icon to learn more ways to protect your files"

this bubble pops up about every 10 seconds and also a random porn/gambling window pops up every 1/2 hour or so. When i click the icon it takes me to AntivirusGolden.com/?aid1=1338. I've already ran HJT scan, here is the log:

Welcome to the forum, let's fix this first, we can't do that with HJT.

1) O10 - Broken Internet access because of LSP provider 'c:\program files\newdotnet\newdotnet6_98.dll' missing
See if you can uninstall that program in Start > Control Panel > Add Remove programs. If not then use this information to remove it.
http://www.newdotnet.com/removal.html
This next tool is for an emergency only:
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/winsockxpfix.html

2) Follow the directions in this link: http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=4015 When you finish the instructions, post the three logs in this same topic using the "Post Reply" button.

Spybot-S&D: Be sure to follow the directions to save the scan report but do not post it here unless requested by a helper.

Thanks...pskelley

If you would like to let your thoughts be known about the lowlifes who put that junk on your computer, you can do that here:

thanks for taking the time to help me PSKelley,
I went to the removal web site you listed, but no sign of any of the files listed in procedures 1-3, is this common?, also what is this?

by the way, after the first post, had something to do so i shut off mt pc, and now the bubble is different, this is what it says:

"urgent system message:virus
your computer is infected with the latest version of internet trojan (worm_attck_v122.02a). it is highly recommended that you install antivirus software. click the icon below for more info."

still acting the same way though, i'm going to procced with procedure #4
thanks again for helping me

also i have no problem going online, in procedure #4, its talking like the infect pc shouldn't have web access. it says to download file to 3 1/2 floppy (my pc doesnt have one) and load on infected pc, well i'll just download file and run it and see what happens, hope to hear more from you pskelley.

I think you have better return to the information here:
http://www.newdotnet.com/removal.html and read it all. This is the removal instructions from the folks that put the junk there in the first place. I understand someone had to agree to it on the user end. Once you have the 010 item out of your log, then proceed with the rest of the directions. I can only give you the instructions, I can not do it for you.

Thanks

Try this:
Download new.netfix.exe (http://noahdfear.geekstogo.com/click%20counter/click.php?id=9) by noahdfear. Save the file to your desktop. Double click, then click Start to extract the contents to it's own folder. Open the folder and double click the RunThis.bat file to start the tool. Follow the prompts and post the contents of the new.net.txt file it creates in the folder.

Listen up, it is important that you read and follow all directions carefully. No where in my instructions did I request a HJT log until at the end of the instructions in the link where you will be posting three logs.

Before you post another log, when you have the notepad open, click on FORMAT and uncheck "Word Wrap". I can not scan logs that are formated the way the one you just posted are. Post all HJT logs like you posted the first one.

Thanks

i ran though the whole smitfraud list, but after completing step 10 (spybot S&D) and trying to reboot back into windows (normal mode), my computer would freeze on the windows load screen. I had to use the boot option "revert to last known good configuration", but the problem seems to be fixed now.

heres the reports

i was alittle worried when my pc froze on the windows load screen,
but everything seems fine now, no stupid yellow triangle

should i leave the programs (HJT, Smitfraud fix, ewindo, and spybot) on my computer?

Ewindo seems to load and run in system tray whenever i boot up my computer
isn't this program a trial program? should i purchace the full prog?

will any of these programs affect Norton Antivirus?

Thanks for your help PSKelley

Please advise of anything else i should do

Thanks for returning your information, first ewido, these two items:
C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\javapi\v1.0\jar\java.jar-bae16f0-3dde98f9.zip/NewSecurityClassLoader.class -> Not-A-Virus.Exploit.ByteVerify : Ignored.
C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\javapi\v1.0\jar\java.jar-bae16f0-3dde98f9.zip/NewURLClassLoader.class -> Not-A-Virus.Exploit.ByteVerify : Ignored.
are called exploits and you should have allowed ewido to remove them. We will use a tool call ATF-Cleaner and it will clean the Java cache. Once you run ATF-Cleaner, then run ewido again and make sure those two items are gone.

When we are removing malware from a computer, often the computer will freeze or need to be rebooted, that is fairly normal. The trick is not to get malware to start with to have to remove.

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/public-beta/ATF-Cleaner.exe
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {202a961f-23ae-42b1-9505-ffe3c818d717} - C:\Program Files\IntCodec\isaddon.dll (file missing)
O4 - Startup: PowerReg Scheduler.exe

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Restart the computer, I do not need another log, just let me know you are running ok. I will try to answer your questions.

HJT: probably the most valuable free tool you will ever get. Look here to see all it can do for you:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial42.html

Smitfraud fix: needs to be updated almost daily, so delete all of the SmitfraudFix.

Spybot: valuable freeware, keep it updated and run it often. Tutorial under HELP at the top of the Spybot interface.

ewido: your call, I will provide information below. All programs I suggest are freeware, or for a trial period. All of the programs I suggest will work fine with Norton.

Since you are clean, here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:

ewido is a great program but it does use some resources. Once the trial is over you can update and use the scanner for as long as you wish, but unless you purchase it you should turn it off completely so it does not run unless you start it manually.

System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:
