system seems bogged

i have 2.0 on main computer
it seems like during scan it bogs computer
when clicking areas of the program
the web
or even answering calls on skype

i dont remember what 1x did
it seemed faster

om on xp
2 gigs ram
2.67 hhz

sorry but 2x NO go for me
Norton constantly pesters me the system performance
get hung up.

1 switching tabs or moving though interface makes computer freeze up
2answering call on skype took forever
in general makes computer bog down
i have 2 gig RAM
2.61GHZ
even stoppling scan or immunity freezes up
