spybot 2.0 doesnt make up date

Hi everybody....

i have installed spybot 2.0 on 12.12.2012. After installing it make an update only once. After that date it doesnt updated its database. I am updating it manually saying its up to date but i know that there is new updates. It doesnt make it neither itself nor manually.

here i think it is lastest definition update.

but my spybot 2.0 update definition bigest date is 12.12.20012. What is the problem ?

Hello,

Did you click on "Update" and not just on "Check Status"?
"Check status" only tells you which files are up to date and if they have been downloaded correctly. "Update" actually offers new files and downloads them.

Further did you open the Updater with a right click and choose "run as administrator"? (http://www.safer-networking.org/faq/how-can-i-get-administrator-rights-under-windows-vista7/)

If this does not help please try to download the manual updates which can be found here (http://www.safer-networking.org/updates/files/spybotsd_includes.exe).
Make sure you store them in the Spybot program folder:
Windows XP: C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy 2
Windows Vista or Windows 7 or Windows 8: C:\Programs (x86)\Spybot - Search & Destroy 2

Ok Thanks... I will check and i will give feed back after when newest than 19.12.2012 update definition will relase. i think i missed something to look.

Thanks! I've been having the same problem. Installing the manual update worked (with admin privileges)!
I tried running update as admin but that didn't do anything.

There is however still 1 update that doesn't update:
Includes\GoodBankScripts.sbs

As it went from 18 updates that would not install to 1 I'm happy. But I would like to know if there is a way I can download a specific update that will stubbornly not install.

The trick that we were given in http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?p=432950#post432950 may work.

Note that if http://127.0.0.1:21321/start doesn't work, try http://127.0.0.1:21331/start as I explained in http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?p=432972#post432972

I know i am late to give my feedback. Sorry. But i wanted to be sure what is the problem.

First of all i am using spybot 2.0 free version for personel use.

I am doing check status before update. And the check status is always showing that " The status check complete. 83 files up to date ". Even if the database is old. For status check is everything always up to date. But it is wrong. When i am pressing to up date button. If there is a database update, it is updating. But at first couse of i didnt carefully look at the date of database files , i thought it didnt do an update.

So i think "Check status" not woking properly. Because for its , the database always up to date.
