I have Spybot and have had this problem for a few days now. It used to say 6 entries Award C and now it says 2 entries. I hit fix selected problems but it says since I am not the administrator I can't do it and I need to be elevated to an administrator. Then it tells me some problems cannot be fixed because the associated files are still in use (memory) and it could be fixed with a restart but the problem keeps coming back>>Win32.PrivCnt.a 2 entries AwardC. I could sure use some help here. Thank you>>
Hello Baldbcool,

Did you elevate to Administrator? :)
"On Windows Vista and Windows 7, Spybot-S&D might tell you that you are not authorized to perform some actions, since they require Administrator rights. You can solve this problem as follows:
1. Right-click the Spybot - Search & Destroy entry in your start menu, instead of just left-clicking to start it.
2. Choose Run as administrator from the context menu."
Run as Administrator (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=55946)
Also, have you tried running Spybot in safe mode when the operating system only loads the bare minimum of software that is required for the operating system to work, it can allow Spybot-S&D to finish cleaning up.
What is the operating system please.
Best regards.

Hello and thanks for the quick reply. I brought up the Spy-Bot window and nothing happens when I right click the Search and Destroy logo up in the right hand corner under the Spybot-S&D print. How do you do the safe mode??

I went into Safe Mode but when in it Spy Bot will not run. I click the icon and the bar shows up and the icon is at the bottom of the screen but it will not appear in thge window so I can run it??
Hello Baldbcool,
Which version of Spybot-S&D do you have and when were the detections last updated?
Also please list all security programs installed.
Other than the problem reported how is the computer running in general, any issues?
Best regards.
