I have a redirect virus, which I think is virtumonde or similiar. My searches end up on advertisement pages. Can Spybot get rid of these? Please alert me at my email address if there is an answer

That is not enough information to know if the item is in our detections. :)

Please list:

The operating system.
Other security programs installed.
Your version of Spybot and when the definitions were last updated.

AMD Phenom quad core processer 4 GB 2.40 GHz 32 bit operating system win 7 (counterfeit) service pack 1
Spybot 2 (free)installed 1/05/2013 Also installed Malwarebytes (free)
Last I checked, hijacker is gone (for now)

You might want to check your operating system here: Validate Windows (http://www.microsoft.com/Genuine/) so that Microsoft can assist in helping you out if necessary. :)

Do you have an anti virus program or Microsoft Security Essentials installed?
