View Full Version : Mouse rt click crashes Windows Explorer

Have just updated to latest version but when I run Windows Explorer and rt click on a file explorer shuts down. I had to uninstall the program to fix it.
Has anyone else encountered this problem. I am using Windows 7 64bit.
Previous version worked fine. Is there a fix?

Hello,

We are sorry for the inconvenience. The bug has been reported to our development team. A fix will not be available in an update but in a next version upgrade. There is no release date yet, as we are still working on it.

Hello,

It would help us very much if you could try this little tool (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/85556593/Trac2310ListExplorerExtensions.exe) which would give us more information about any compatibility issues.

The app will list all other installed context menu extensions (that we haven't whitelisted as compatible yet), and this might help tracking down the issue.

Hi,

I'm also running Win 7 64-bit, and the Spybot context menu item is causing Windows Explorer to crash and restart.

You can easily remove it with this free tool: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html

Once ShellExView is running, sort your list by "type" by clicking on the Type column. Then look for "Spybot-S&D Explorer Integration" in the "Context Menu" types. Select that line, then go to "File -> Disable Selected Items" (or press F7).

I am really enjoying Spybot so far, it has found so much junk! But it is resource intensive. I'm evaluating the Pro version so I can check my phone and the tablet my kids use.

Did you checked your RAM for memory problems? Along with that follow solutions provided here (http://www.reginout.com/how-to-fix-windows-7-app-crash.html). Here are the diagnostic information for you:

1. Click Start, type "Windows Memory Diagnostic".
2. Press ENTER.
3. Click "Restart now and check for problems" button.
4. Your system will reboot. Follow the on-screen instructions.
