Spybot not showing in task manager

Hi all, I was running a scan on my backup PC and was wondering why Spybot does not show up under the Task manager? The program locked up my PC (cpu @100%) and I wanted to kill the program, but it was not listed, so I had to shut down the PC via the power switch, which is not good for it.thanks!

I'm not sure,Spybot shows up under Task Manager->Applications on mine.

If it ever happens again and you need to kill the program,you can click over to the processes tab,scroll through until you find sdscan.exe,click it and end process,then when the warning pops up,click End Process again.
