hello and thx,
I just bought spybot and i haven't installed it yet.
I came to the forums with a problem and have done all the scans with the 162 version.
which order shall i do things.
the problem is i use wimax and amazon told me i couldnt download mp3 because my machine cuts out.
The cursor and hourglass/circle are always blipping.and everythimg takes soooooo long to download with many lost connections.

That may not be a malware issue, for reference note the last two threads regarding your computer. :)

I had hundreds of pc apps down loaded and saved. I was going to help people with machine problems. they were were installing things to my desktop even though i only wanted to save them.
Ive done thousands of old time radio downloads.
the first spybot found one and fixed it.
avast says i have 4 files in recycle that are not getting deleted (seen only in boot scan as corrupted music cabs)
so Question 1. how do i find teatimers

installing things like folders that said "rootkit revealer" and "tdsskiller". i didn't click on them as i didnn't know how they got there. I just went to my downloads folder and deleted them all. They were mostly downloads from bleeping computer. I thought i might help some friends who were having troubles. then i lost cable.
i dont understand if sybot will just update itself or do i uninstall it to load the new spybot that i just bought.:eek:

In general we recommend to uninstall older versions of Spybot-S&D before installing the new Spybot 2. The installer of Spybot 2 actually offers this.

What is, "secure" please, hello world.txt is usually just a test file. :)

Secure is secure shredder. When i opened it (ssad 162).there was a text file already listed in it.
Spybot 2 found sooo many tracking things.
and Spybot 2 has their own geek squad to help with the installation. Tashi,sir. Sorry to keep things held up.
Im just going to post the scans and logs now, too much hemming and hawing on my part.
could you know what would cause 30 or 40 copies of webpage looking frames being loaded on to a useraccount of mine (i have three) while i hadn't been using that account? I just happened to switch accounts and the pages were hurrying to get og the screen. lots of pages in a stack!!
