Ok I posted before and evidently didn't do it correctly. I have the remnants of files that spybot cannot remove. My computer was infected with Trojan.agent, w32.idele, cdilla, 2yourface and pretty sure I removed all of it however these are files that are left that I think were part of it. I know it says tracks but the fact that the level is at a 5 concerns me. I have used all kinds of programs to rid these files including writing 0's to the disk and cannot remove it. Can someone please help me?

I am running

Dell inspiron n5050 windows 7 sp1

I have attached all the logs previously requested. Hope to hear from someone.

thanks,

Crystal

any you can give would be much appreciated. I don't want to have to buy a new hard drive!! when I tried to reply this morning in Firefox as crazy as it sounds, it wouldn't let me type anything. I had to use ie to send a reply. wow lol :hair:

Thanks,

hi Crystal ,

Can you rescan with DDS and post its log. You seemed to have missed that one, I see the attach.txt and the other two but not DDS.txt. You can copy/paste it in your reply.

Looks like you have two antivirus installed. Emsisoft Anti-Malware and Webroot SecureAnywhere. I would remove one of these via the add/remove programs panel. Then reboot. Only one AV per machine is needed. Antimalware you can have more than one of.

Anti-malware software can also provide overlapping features and be a drag on system resources if there all running at the same time. Most start by default but can be disabled. I see a AVG toolbar, Webroot toolbar and Spybots IE Protection. If there all running it will be a drag on resources.
I know this dosnt address what you posted but we will get to that.

I suppose i went all out when this happened to be sure that if one didn't catch it the other would. The avg came packaged with something I downloaded. I uninstalled it but it is still there so I disabled it in ms config start-up. Would like to get rid of it too.

I originally had pc tools as my firewall and avast as the av but what ever this is keeps tampering with them and changing some things.
Upon reboot, PC tools sends a message and that it has had restored those files. So, after much research, I installed webroot for the trial not realizing that emissoft was antivirus. I thought it was just an antimalware program.

Which one do you recommend that is the best to keep and the other to chunk?? I do like both webroot and emmisoft so not sure which to remove. after removal, then what next?

Go to Start>Control Panel. With the default setting it would be under Programs Uninstall a Program. It could also be under Programs and Features if you see (http://windows.about.com/od/windowsforbeginners/ss/SBSWin7Uninstll_all.htm) a bunch of icons.
In any case look for these below in the list, and uninstall them one by one.

avast! Free Antivirus
AVG SafeGuard toolbar

Which to keep? Webroot or Emmisoft? i like free myself. So I would keep Emmisoft. Webroot must be bought if its a trail? Thats just me, if you like one over the other then keep it and uninstall the other via the add/remove programs panel.

After the above you can get another download to use and keep.
Please download the free version of Malwarebytes (http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/) to your desktop.

Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.

Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.

If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.

Once the program has loaded, select Perform FULL SCAN, then click Scan.
When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.

Be sure that everything is checked, and click *Remove Selected.*

*A restart of your computer may be required to remove some items. If prompted please restart your computer to complete the fix.*

When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt
Post the log in your reply.

Cant get any better results than those from Malwarebytes. The Spybot items you posted as an attachment taken on 3/30, are pretty much harmless. Is this what Spybot is flagging every time and wont remove?
I dont know of any other antimalware app that will flag usage tracks and stuff like that other than Spybot.

Well for me it isn't harmless if its level 5. If it wants to know what docs I've Accessed then I sure S heck don't feel safe purchasing anything online. I would like it completely gone. Also today I started up my computer and cannot load into normal only safe mode. Idk what the heck. I left it on yesterday (no internet) and the battery died. I plug in cord load windows and black screen. GeeZ. What to do now?

ok now it seems it is loading up to a black screen every time I restart and I have to do a system restore to get it to work. thank you for your previous help. I don't know what else to do.

You get a black screen with a list of options, one being a system restore?
Other than Malwarebytes have you installed anything lately?

Try booting into safe mode. To reach safe mode you tap the f8 key during a computer restart. Chose the safe mode option at the top, log into to your normal account. Once you are at the desktop, navigate to the add/remove programs panel and uninstall Malwarebytes. Reboot normally and see how it goes.

Dont know if this is causing the problem or not, but you have to start somewhere and thats the last thing you installed. Also a guess on my part its software related. May not be.

ok well I finally got it to load after several system restores but windows updates are not updating correctly. Everytime it wants to do a restart it says it was unsucccessful. Also, I am attaching a current spybot log bc these items are still there. I don't understand why I cannot delete these files to the point that they NEVER come back! Help please.

The list of Spybot items you posted are usage tracks and cookies. Usage tracks will show up after a normal Windows session. I dont use Spybot (or Windows very much) but checking these would only remove them for your Windows session, not permanently, and then only remove the information after the registry key, the registry item is not removed. If you look at one in your list: Spybot removes the recent typed URL's but leaves the rest of the registry entry alone. All the other tracks are treated the same way. In fact it looks like it already removed them because it says: Already cleaned:

[i] 2013-04-17 17:56:13 Already cleaned: HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-4260962366-3266493628-1397919670-1000\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs

These tracks are generated every time you use your machine. If your concerned about them you could run Spybot before shutdown or at start up or at regular intervals but they will reappear over time and you will see the HKEY_USERS\ etc etc everytime you do scan.
Did that help any?
