I recently seemed to have this probelm on my computer. Whenever I open an application, the application opens and when I proceed with another task in that application, the system gets stuck. It doesnt even restart or shut down. I tried a System restore to a couple of days ago. But I get the same result.
Please help.

Do you suspect an infection/hardware/software problem?
Were any changes made to the system before problem occurred
Operating System
RAM available
How many processes running
Security software installed
Any other information that may be of help in deciphering the problem.
Do you still have Norton installed?
