View Full Version : Spybot doesn't "find" Chrome
Hi,
I just bought a new computer with Windows 8 and installed Chrome and Spybot. However under "Settings -> Browsers" Chrome does not appear.
I have another computer with Windows 7 and there Chrome is listed.
Best,
Timm

Hello,
I'm sorry, but the Chrome Browser is currently not being supported in Spybot 2.

Hi,
Thanks for the answer! I found this link on your website:
http://www.safer-networking.org/faq/which-browsers-does-spybot-sd-support/
This seemed to imply that Google Chrome is being supported. Either way it is weird that Chrome is listed under Browsers on my Windows 7 computer but not on the computer with Windows 8.
Is there any Spybot version that supports or has supported Google Chrome?
Thanks!

Chrome will be kinda supported from the soon released Spybot 2.1, but only on Windows 7, i guess

Are you running Chrome, on Windows 8, in Windows 8-Mode?

I am very disappointed that this product doesn't support Chrome - I guess I should ask for a refund from my technician license purchase - hard to provide support for my clients when it doesn't cover all browsers - VERY disappointed.... :-(
