irst anti-malware updates for Spybot 2.1 (of course still supporting 1.6 and 2.0)... and did you know that AV updates are coming multiple times a day even? from facebook
i saw this quote at facebook
by the admin i guess

does this mean we should check for updates several times a day like malware bytes does
if we do im assuming we should immunize several times a day as well as SCAN..
1.6x used do it every Wednesday
is 2x now multiple times.\\check morning noon evening

Live Protection and Antivirus Protection is only available in the Home Edition or higher:
Comparison Chart (http://www.safer-networking.org/private/compare/)

They are also being downloaded automatically, as the Home Edition or higher has scheduled updates.

The antivirus updates are only for antivirus and have nothing to to with the immunization (which is based on the Spybot updates).

So if you are running the Free Version of Spybot 2.1 there would be updates once a week, usually on Wednesdays.
This week there was uploaded a second update to fix a false positive issue (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?68714-Win32-Autorun-cfto).
