how many times day do i need to scan/update defs

How many times a day/week should we run a scan

do i need to upodate and scan daily
and multiple times day? this is w 2.1

or is update and scan once week like wed enough since releasing was on wed
or is 2x different

Update:
It depends if you use the AV-Engime of Spybot (Home Version or above) or not.
If you use it, you should update atleast 1 time per day, better more ofthen. If you use the Free-Version its good enough if you update 1 time in a week

Scan:
this i would say, depends on your computer-usage. if you ofthen download Software or visit risky websites or if you use online-banking, you should scan every day, else 2 times per week should be fine.

ya ummm i posted about the updates then came back and couldnt edit
so i opened a scan thread :P

it sounds like unlike 1x i usually UPDATE WED when its released and scan
and scan IF something looks like it installed suspiciously.
UPDATES:

no i DO NOT have your AV i have norton
so according to this 1x week is good like wed way 1x was.
i used do ALL DEEP SCANNING on Fridays because end of week and moved it to wed, but now SBSD AND MALWAREBYTES update few times a day, also
i think ill also run updates for SB and MWB MORNING when i wake 2-4p and night.

SCAN
no i dont dl off risky sites BUT i do online banking
again w 1x it WAS FRI then moved to wed because of wed releases
but now its more times i would do it 2x a week
WED :mid week SAT because WED to wed SAT is MIDDLE
id also scan if something looks suspicious

DOES DOWNLOADING UPDATES
actually mean NEW updates
or its looking
if i press it then 4 mins later press it again how is it NEW
if its once a week.
when there is NEW weekly updates what will i see?
it was easy in 1x if u check says NO UPDATES the end
how will i know when new ones are ready

Yes, as I have already explained here (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?68721-update-scedule-multi-times-a-day) and here (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?68712-weird-error-after-scan) and now here again.

Please do not post at several places with the same problem as this just doubles our support time!

It should be pretty self-explaining:

It reads that it is downloading updates, processing them and closing with "The antispyware signatures are up to date."
So there were no new updates.

There are only updates once a week, usually on Wednesdays.
And then there is ONE update.
If the update is available it would look like this:

TODAY Tues jan 21 i noticed it updated TWICE
im assuming it will tomorrow jan 22 WED
was it early or will this be new thing.

also w these updates should i scan several times/a day not just wedsday now
