Hello.

I noticed there haven't been any updated/new immunizations since 7/31/2013 in SpyBot v1.6.2 installations. What's up with that?

Thank you in advance. :)

Possibly a 'plateau' for immunizations (for SSD 1.6.2) since 2013-07-31. My total count differs a bit (due to various browsers) but has been holding steady since then at 222,082.

As long as the botcheck count varies for the scan, I'm quite pleased at the continued update-support for 1.6.2 :)

Can someone from Safer Networking please confirm, do we have to update from version 1.6.2 to continue getting immunization updates?

If so, I think it's pretty lame that no notification was given to 1.6.2 users that immunization updates would cease for them. Not user friendly.

There have not been any updates for immunization lately. Version 1.6 is still fully supported, all updates work for version 1.6 as well as for version 2.x. We will update immunization as soon as there is a detection rule for this. Thank you.

My immunize count is 31,133 after updating the program to the latest version 2.1. The only reason I have a concern is that others are reporting much higher numbers. I am running Win XP with the latest updates and using Chrome browser.....would that make a difference? Spybot shows internet protection at "full" and everything is up-to-date. Do I have reason to be concerned?

Many thanks to all,
Roland

As I noted in another thread, for reasons unknown about a month ago my Update function in v 1.6.2 simply quit working.

Tonight I uninstalled 1.6.2 and installed 2.1.21, updated, and ran the scan. All went smoothly.

Hey dumee,
So, after updating, how many immunize items do you have? I do use the HOST file with HOSTSXPERT, as someone else mentioned, maybe this has an impact on the total??? My total of 31,133 has not changed since updating to Ver. 2.1 some time ago.

Hi, can somebody tell me, if there realy havn't been any new immunisation updates
since nearly one year? Because, I'm not sure anymore, if it isn't just an issue on me end, 'cause it's not working?

Thanks! I may have missed that one, by an re-immunization I'd run.
But since there are not many updates now - is there another good immunization program to add to it?
(I'm already using "Spywareblaster")

(I'm already using "Spywareblaster")I think people like to use HPhosts according to http://www.dslreports.com/forum/security,1 ... I tried it, but it was way too many hosts (lots of blocked issues with YouTube).

Why is Immunization showing only 15492 items, for over nine months now?

This is the case on three machines in two different locations: two Win 7 Pro SP1 64-bit machines, and one Win XP Pro SP3 32-bit machine.

Nothing new to immunize against in all this time? SpywareBlaster has new items every three weeks or so. why not Spybot S&D?

What's going on?

Hello glnz2,

Which version of Spybot do you have?
http://www.safer-networking.org/

Regards, tashi

Tashi: On the Win XP Pro SP3 (32-bit) machine - Spybot version 1.6.2.
On the two Win 7 Pro SP1 (64-bit) machines - Spybot version 2.2

All three machines show 15492 items in the relevant rows in the Immunization list - that's been the number for over nine months. And I'm not the only one who's noticed.

What's going on?

Thanks.

Tashi - No response?

I've just installed Spybot S&D on a third Win 7 Pro 64-bit machine, and after all updates it also shows ONLY 15492 items in the relevant rows in the Immunization list. Spybot S&D version 2.4.40.0.

Please let us all know why there have been NO ADDITIONS to the Immunization list for almost a year. What's the deal?

Thanks.

As far as I can tell, there have been no items added to Immunizations in almost a year. I have four machines in two locations - one XP Pro and three Win 7 Pro 64-bit, using three different versions of Spybot. Same on all four. However, SpywareBlaster has new items every month. So what's the story with Spybot S&D?

antdude - my separate thread on this issue has now been merged here. So seems Spybot is reading these posts but not letting us know.

Hello glnz2,

antdude - my separate thread on this issue has now been merged here. So seems Spybot is reading these posts but not letting us know.

The threads were merged to provide cohesion when our team is directed to the issue. :)

Kind regards.

Tashi - we all luuuuuuuv Spybot S&D, but please explain why no new Immunizations in a year.

We wish the world were so safe - but it isn't. What's the reason for this?

Thanks.

I am also concerned as I noticed the same issue. I'd like to know why Spybot (I use version 1.6.2) are not adding immunizations since many, many months now? Updates still appear to work every wednesday, but no new immunizations/definitions are added, it's seems it's the same definition file.

Have SaferNetworking stopped supporting Spybot?

Thanks
