I have been using SB for many, many years and it has always been very helpful. However, tonight I ran a scan and got 34 entries Adware - Widgi Toolbar and it has gotten me very nervous. I am senior citizen (septuagenarian) and not familiar with this result at all.
Can anyone help me? I see some entries are in the Registry which might be dangerous? I don't know. I had an update to YouTube Downloader and think that might be where these 34 problems came from.
I would appreciate any kind help someone could give to me.

Hello. :)
You had a bit of a run-in with Widgi before:

The advice given there should still hold true:

Thank you kindly. Do you mean to just use the SB to remove/delete those items.

I did a System Restore to a day before I did the update of the YouTube Downloader, and now SB just shows 6 items. All in in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Spigot, etc.

ShouldI just have SB remove/delete those 6 entries? Or do I have to remove them some other way?

Please advise.

(I've uninstalled YouTube Downloader from my computer altogether! I can't go through this again!)

Should I use SB's "Fix Selected Problems" to remove these 6 items?

Thank you.

Yes,you should only need to have Spybot remove those 6 items by pressing Fix selected. No need to worry about removing them any other way, unless they were to return after you do another scan. :)
No need to worry about the other entries Spybot found before you did the system restore, the only way those should come back is if you were to Undo the System Restore,so all should be good there.
I just glanced quickly, but I believe Youtube downloader does bundle a Spigot-based YTD Video Toolbar with it when you download Youtube downloader, and the YTD Video Toolbar needs to be declined when installing if you would rather not have it.I couldn't find anything anywhere that Youtube downloader by itself, alone, was malware/adware,though I didn't get a good, thorough look at things, either. So if you did decide to reinstall Youtube downloader, you might want to decline anything offered along with the install.Of course,if you have no need of Youtube downloader any longer, and wish to leave it uninstalled, that's an ok choice, too. :)

Thank you so much for all your kind help.
As a septuagenarian, this really had me scared. I did remove the 6 items found and ran "another" scan and nothing found.
Do you think I have to worry about those 6 and 34 entries "stealing" any of my banking information on my computer? If so, what should I do?

You're welcome. :)
No,it's most likely you don't have to worry about your banking information being stolen. This is relatively low-threat adware,I believe,so the chances of that are minimal.Everything should be ok now. :)
