View Full Version : Help! Been trying to remove Qone8 virus from my pc for hours

Hi

I am a real tryer but unfortunately have not succeeded. I don't know if anyone knows anything about this and what if any programme I could use to remove it without restoring my computer to its factory settings which I am on the verge of doing. I downloaded a couple of free virus removal programmes, but was a bit worried about purchasing one without being certain it will remove the virus.

Look forward to hearing from anyone who can help.

Which security programs are installed and when. :)

Nic, if it's any consolation (know I'm being Job's comforter here) I have been labouring all day with the same. Ran Spybot (paid version), Norton, one free anti-malware programme and two free ones but the problem STILL remains

If the issue isn't removed by conventional methods one can request assistance in the Malware Removal Forum (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22) and a volunteer analyst will advise when available. :)

First see that forum's FAQ which also includes instructions in post #2 on how to provide DDS and aswMBR logs, which are used in the preliminary analysis.
