I have version 2.0.9.131 Spybot search & destroy 2. I am going to assume that it became the commercial version since photo shots look familiar. I beta tested this version of software in its early stages and as a reward have its use. Its fully automatic so I'm not complaining; it works behind the scenes and I don't think about it very often. However, recently I had some virus/malware problems that prompted me to revisit Spybot. When I tried to run the program I got an error that I didn't have before; missing DEC150.bpl. How can I get a copy of the missing subroutine, and where would I place it. I am currently running Windows 7 64bit service pack 1 on an AMD desktop platform. Also, I'm pretty sure that I can't uninstall and reload this program; I don't have (or can't find) a copy of the original program. Can you help me?

DEC150.bpl would belong in your C:\Program Files (x86)\Spybot - Search & Destroy 2 folder.
There were two newer releases after Spybot 2,Spybot 2.1 and Spybot 2.2.
I don't think it would be any harm if you installed the Spybot 2.2 free version over the top of your Spybot 2 version. That would hopefully replace your DEC150.bpl file,if it isn't present in your Spybot folder, and your Spybot should stay as the commercial version:

When Spybot offers to uninstall the older version when/if you install the Spybot 2.2 version, just click No. :)
